Lottery Open For New Affordable, Senior Apartments In Westchester

The rents will range from $771 for a studio to $1,927 for a one-bedroom for those 55 and up who meet household income requirements.

TARRYTOWN, NY — A new chance for seniors to combat the ongoing affordable housing crisis is here for a lucky few.

Westchester Residential Opportunities announced that there are lottery chances for 100 affordable rentals at 62 Main Street in Tarrytown now open and applications are being accepted from those who qualify.

The newly converted building located in the historic downtown area near public transit and shopping includes amenities such as a rooftop courtyard, a community room, a fitness center, a computer area, and an on-site laundry facility.

  • Studio: $771 (30 percent AMI)
  • One-bedroom: $771 (30 percent AMI)
  • One-bedroom: $1,028 (40 percent AMI)
  • One-bedroom: $1,376 (50 percent AMI)
  • One-bedroom: $1,652 (60 percent AMI)
  • One-bedroom: $1,927 (70 percent AMI)

Priority admissions include 6 mobility disability units and 3 hearing/vision disability units.

The deadline for applications is October 24, 2023, at 4 p.m. The lottery will be held via Zoom on November 7, 2023, at 11 a.m.
