Misled by GPS, 18-Wheeler Gets Stuck in the Crest
Police had to assist a large truck which got stuck rounding a turn in this Tarrytown neighborhood.

Thanks to Angela Olmeta for sharing this surprising photo of an 18-wheeler stuck Wednesday afternoon trying to round a turn on Union Avenue in the Crest neighborhood of Tarrytown.
Lt. William Herguth explained that the truck had furniture it planned to deliver to the newly renovated Castle Hotel and Spa on Benedict Avenue.
The driver's GPS system directed him eastbound on Neperan Road to Irving Avenue and then east on Union Avenue. He found himself stuck at the intersection of Irving and Union avenues around 2:30 p.m.
Tarrytown police assisted the man in backing down Irving to Neperan where he proceeded east through Elmsford and then to his destination via Benedict Avenue.
