More Information Released About Fatal Greenburgh Car Crash
Authorities said the car drove off the roadway, struck a tree and rolled over into the ditch between the roadway and a shopping center.
GREENBURGH, NY — Police released more information about the fatal car crash that happened in the early hours of Tuesday.
The Town of Greenburgh Police Department said the crash occurred around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 407 Tarrytown Road where police saw a car in a drainage ditch.
Authorities said a gray Hyundai Elantra was traveling east on Tarrytown Road, which is also Route 119.

The car drove off the roadway, struck a tree and rolled over into the ditch between the roadway and Crossroads Shopping Plaza.
Police and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene to try to help the occupant of the car.

Paramedics determined the sole person in the car — a woman — died because of her injuries.
Police have not released the woman’s name.
The accident investigation by Greenburgh police is ongoing.
