Police: Bloody Attempted Break In

Sleepy Hollow Police report someone's attempt to break into a window of a vacant apartment on Barnhart Street only resulted in their injury.

Police found only blood when they responded to the scene of an alleged attempted break-in on Barnhart Avenue recently.

On Feb. 26 at 11:15 p.m. a caller said she was advised by a tenant at 13 Barnhart Avenue that they believed someone broke into or tried to break into a vacant basement apartment. She said her husband was there now.

Police arrived and requested a detective to investigate. Officers reported that a window appeared to have been punched, but that it did not appear as if entry was made. Police found blood on the window and the outside area. No blood was found inside the vacant apartment.
