Police: Grand Larceny, EZ Pass Theft

Two cars were entered and stolen from in separate incidents Tarrytown police.

Following a series of unlocked cars getting rummaged in Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown police report a few of their own incidents.

On Feb. 28 at 9:09 p.m., a woman came into headquarters to report she had parked her car on Lower Main Street in front of 1 River Plaza on Feb. 28 at 8:45 a.m. and returned at 7 p.m. to discover someone had entered her unlocked car. The person had allegedly stolen her EZ pass and an unknown amount of loose change. Police filed a case for petit larceny.

On March 5 at 7:27 p.m. a caller reported his car was entered while parked at the DoubleTree hotel. A credit card and his driver’s license was reported stolen. Police filed a case for grand larceny.
