Police: Hazmat Team Investigates White Powder
A Union Avenue resident in Tarrytown called police to report a suspicious substance that had been left on his front porch.
A Union Avenue caller reported to Tarrytown Police that an unknown person had left a container with a suspicious powdery substance on his front porch.
The caller reported the morning of April 29 that it was left there around 10 p.m. the night prior.
Officers secured the item and contacted County Fire Control to have a Hazmat team investigate.

At 10:03 a.m. the county Hazmat team reported that tests revealed the substance to be cement.
