Police: Hit and Run, No Hit?
A man who fled the scene of a sideswiping told police he was unaware of hitting anybody.

A person came into Tarrytown police headquarters on March 18 to report that at about 1:30 p.m. that day her car was sideswiped on South Broadway by another car.
She said she had to follow the car in question in order to get them to stop. When the driver did stop, he refused to exchange any information and left the scene. The reporting person was able to get the man’s NY license plate number but attempts by the department to contact the registered owner were unsuccessful.
The complainant's car sustained scratches to the driver side and front fender.
