Police: Man Making Dinner Finds Needles

Two hypodermic needles were found behind an apartment building on Beekman.

An apartment tenant at 38 Beekman Street called police to report he had found several hypodermic needles in his yard.

The man had been grilling outside on Feb. 2 around 5 p.m. when he noticed the needles on the ground.

Sleepy Hollow police collected the needles in a biohazard container and took them to Phelps Memorial Hospital for disposal.

Police also collected an hypodermic needle recently at an abandoned house on Elm Street experiencing burst pipes.
