
There were several unusual ball-related incidents in the recent Tarrytown police blotters:
On Oct. 6 at 10:48 a.m., a caller reported that while traveling eastbound on Franklin Street her car was struck with a tennis ball. The caller thought the ball was thrown from another car.
She sustained no damage to her car but wanted the incident noted for the record.

Someone reported to police that an autographed "Mariano Rivera" baseball had been stolen from his Nissan while he was parked at the DoubleTree.
He said this happened sometime between the hours of 9 and 10 p.m. on Oct. 3, calling police about it on Oct. 7 when they opened an investigation.

A caller from West Main Street reported to police on Oct. 7 at 7:21 p.m. seeing a suspicious man wearing a Yankee Hat and a trench coat on the RiverWalk. Officers found no such person.
