Police: Snow Plow Problems
Police in both Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow reported local damages from snow plows during the recent blizzard.

Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner blogged about the seasonal nuisance of snow plows refilling shoveled driveways. Several residents in turn complained to police of being snowed-in by plows during the recent blizzard.
But there's also greater damage industrial-strength snow removal can cause, as evidenced by several blotter reports from early February's Nor'easter.

A caller reported to Tarrytown Police on Feb. 9 at 5:10 p.m. that his vehicle had been struck by a plow while parked in the lot at 200 White Plains Road. An officer reported extensive damage to the rear window and passenger side of a car with NY plates. Police confirmed it looked like a plow truck was to blame.

At 333 North Broadway on Feb. 8 at 5:23 p.m., a caller reported that a snow plow driving by had pushed snow and shot debris at their windshield, breaking it.
Police on the scene also reported that a rock thrown by a plow had also broken the front plate glass window of the Cars Auto Repair business there. There was a hole at the bottom left of the window where the rock apparently passed through the glass and went on to damage a television inside.
Police took photos of the scene and notified DPW foreman Richard Gross. A witness confirmed that the window was broken by a passing DPW plow truck.
