Police: Taxi Hit and Run

Tarrytown Police charged a taxi driver for leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly hit a parked car on Main Street.

A cab driver allegedly hit a parked car and took off, only to find himself quickly in trouble with the law.

On March 6 at 5:44 p.m., a Tarrytown officer reported being flagged down and advised of a hit and run that had just occurred.

The officer reported that a black taxi bearing NY plates had just struck a parked car in front of 6 Main Street, storefront of Rock Island Sound. The taxi fled north on Broadway.

Tarrytown Police advised Sleepy Hollow Police. Police also contacted the taxi office to have the driver respond to headquarters, where he was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident.
