The work session will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in village hall.
SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — The Sleepy Hollow Board of Trustees will hold a work session at 7 p.m. Tuesday to hear public comments about the village’s 2023-24 budget.
There will be two public hearings at the beginning of the meeting, according to the agenda, which can be viewed here.
One is a continuation of previous public hearings on the proposed Sleepy Hollow 2023-24 operating budget.

The other public hearing is regarding a proposed local law that will authorize the village trustees to increase the property tax levy cap mandated by New York state.
The tax cap limits the amount local governments and schools districts can increase their tax levies. Local government boards can override the tax cap by passing a local law by at least a 60 percent vote. That is what is being proposed by the Sleepy Hollow trustees.
