A college round up from Dick Miller:
Genevieve Ruppel of Sleepy Hollow and St. Joseph's University, competing at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship on Feb. 17th, finished 9th in the women's long jump, with her best distance 5.43 meters. She had a time of 8.19 in a preliminary 60 meter dash. The Hawks finished 13th in the meet.

Santo Carissimo of Sleepy Hollow (Iona Prep) and Vermont's basketball five, in a game at Binghamton on the 28th, was second high in scoring with 15 points, the result of three lay ups and three treys, with two boards and one turnover in the win.
In a tennis match with guests Towson University on the 2nd, lost to the Lehigh University Lady Mountain Hawks, 6-1, Alison Kaminetsky of Hackley won her singles match, 7-6(2),3-6, and 10-6, while her doubles twosome lost their match, 86. Hosting Temple on the 3rd, the Owls blanked the hosts, with Kaminetsky dropping her singles match, 6-0,6-1, and her doubles duo also lost, 8-3.

In the opening game of the Spring Trip to Ft. Pierce, FL., the Muhlenberg College baseball nine played Martin Luther University on Mar. 3rd, and scored a 15-2 victory, with Conor McDermott of Hackley one of three catchers for the Mules.
Two former foil wielding fencers for Hackley, Ben Cheng and Huda Muhammad, competed for Columbia at the Harvard fencing meet the weekend of Mar. 2nd and 3rd. He had a record of 2-1, while she had one of 2-4. The women's team finished second in the meet, while the men were in a three way tie with Penn and Princeton.
Rob Cacace of Hackley, a member of the College of the Holy Cross men's track and field team, competed in the Heptathlon at the Patriot League Indoor Championship on Feb. 16th, and finished tenth, with a total of 3,932 points.

Last weekend, FP won the NY State Public High School Athletic Association (nysphsaa.org) Swim Championship.
All the boys are from Westchester. Oliver Patrouch is a resident of Greenburgh (Hartsdale), Patrick Conaton lives in Bronxville, Richard Mannix lives in Larchmont, Joseph Eiden lives in White Plains, Michael Verini lives in Mt. Pleasant, and Declan Kennon lives in Yonkers.
