Tarrytown Holds Parade For Pooches As Westminster Sets Up Shop

TARRYTOWN, NY — With the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show soon to set up shop on the grounds of the Lyndhurst Mansion, Tarrytown will show exactly how important canines are to the community with a parade in Patriots Park.

Tarrytown Dogs on Parade will take place at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 18.

All leashed, licensed and well-behaved pets are welcome, organizers said.

There will be contests and games at Patriots Park stage, and the parade lineup begins in the northwest corner of the park.

The contest categories are smallest and biggest dogs, waggiest tail, best trick, best dressed, best kisser and best couple — where the pooch looks most like its human.
