The TaSH Set To Begin Summer Season

This is the eighth season the farmers market has set up shop in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow.

TARRYTOWN, NY — The eighth summer season of the Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market — The TaSH — begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Patriots Park.

This year, the market will feature an expanded roster of almost 60 weekly and rotating vendors throughout the entire park, including prepared food options, locally grown seasonal produce, farm-fresh meat, seafood, baked goods, gourmet foods and more, according to organizers.

Returning farmers and vendors will be selling vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood, cheeses, bread, eggs, pickles, coffee, beer, cider, spirits and pantry staples.

New menu items to enjoy on-site or take home include a smoked grilled chicken sandwich and pizza.

Opening day will feature a special dance performance by Tarrytown’s own Rebeca Tomas and members of her A Palo Seco Flamenco Company from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In the morning hours, shoppers can enjoy live jazz performed by Sleepy Hollow High School students.

There will also be free activities for children, including the "What's in Season" program, where families can see and taste seasonal produce.

What You Need To Know

When: Saturday, May 28, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Patriots Park, Route 9 on the border of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. Free parking at John Paulding School across the street.
What: More than 35 vendor stalls selling food to eat on-site and take home for your Memorial Day barbecue and more.
Music: Sleepy Hollow High School Jazz Students from 9 to 11 a.m. and A Palo Seco Flamenco from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Bring Your Own Bags: Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own tote and produce bags (or purchase them at The TaSH booth) as the market moves away from single-use plastics.
