Monday: Tonight at Hudson Harbor's Lodge begins a unique dining experience.

Eric Korn of the Good-Life Gourmet in Irvington, after doing a series of pop-up restaurants throughout Westchester, decided to gather some of his local chef friends in a friendly competition.

Six chefs will pair off in three initial nights of small bites three-course meals (supplemented by beer from Captain Lawrence Brewery). At the end of each meal, guests vote for the winner. Winners move on to the next round on May 14 and 15, with the winners of those dinners cooking off on May 22 and 23.

Tuesday challengers: Alex Sze from Juniper in Hastings and Carl Van Dekker from the Village Dog in Tarrytown.

Wednesday: Navjot Arora from Chutney Marsala in Irvington and Diane Forley and Michael Otsuka from the Flourish Baking Company.

Thursday's chefs will be executive chef and event organizer, Korn, from the Good-Life Gourmet in Irvington and Sean Corcoran from the Peekskill Brewery in Peekskill.

Chefs will compete for a monetary prize based on ticket sales, as well as the golden knives trophy, which Korn described as "as goofy as can be" with a chef's hat and knives.

The Golden Knives Challenge will take place May 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 22 and 23. Tickets are $50 and available by calling 914-747-0519 or emailing events@cappacrucy.com. For more info click the Facebook event page here.
