Two Pedestrians Struck in Tarrytown

Tarrytown police responded to two reports of pedestrians struck by cars in the village.

Police reported two separate incidents of pedestrians getting struck in Tarrytown, both refusing medical attention.

A 911 caller reported someone had been struck just off North Broadway at McKeel on Feb. 16 at 5:58 p.m. Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded but  the pedestrian refused assistance. Police filed an accident report.

Lieutenant William Herguth reported that the person was in the crosswalk when they were struck and received an abrasion to an elbow. The driver stopped but no traffic violations were issued.

A second pedestrian reported she was struck by a passing car on White Plains Road at 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 20.

She said she walking northbound across Route 119 at Meadow Street when she was hit by a unknown black colored car. She reported pain in her right arm and leg but refused medical attention. Incident noted for the record at this time.
