Voter's Guide: Tarrytown School District Goes To Polls Tuesday

Voters in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow will decide whether to approve the district's 2023-24 school budget Tuesday.

TARRYTOWN, NY — Voters in the Tarrytown school district will be deciding whether to approve the 2023-2024 budget Tuesday.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Tarrytown voters will cast their ballots at Washington Irving School, 103 S. Broadway in Tarrytown. Sleepy Hollow voters will cast their ballots at Winfield L. Morse School, 30 Pocantico St. in Sleepy Hollow.

The proposed spending plan of $93.5 million is 8.15 percent higher than the current budget.
The tax levy is expected to rise just 3.08 percent, which is below the state's tax cap.

Two incumbent board members — John Paine and Deborah Taylor — are running unopposed for re-election.
