Woman Reports Possible Police Impersonator

A woman reports to Sleepy Hollow police a parking dispute with a man who claimed he was a detective, flashed a badge, and then took off.

A woman called police to report a parking dispute she had with a man who claimed he was a police detective and took off.

On Feb. 19 at 10:08 p.m. a woman called police on Teresa Street and said she had a dispute with a man over a parking space. She said the man made claims to be a police officer. Officers send and report man had left before their arrival. The woman described the suspect as man, 6’4” with a goatee, who drove away in a black Toyota Prius with no license plate.

The woman told police he pulled out a gold colored shield on a chain from under his jacket, telling her he was detective, but that he left as she was calling police.
