11 Stony Brook University Student Visas Revoked
The visa status of 21 students in the State University of New York's system have changed, a spokeswoman says.
STONY BROOK, NY — Eleven Stony Brook University students had their visas revoked between March 28 and Thursday, university officials said.
As of Wednesday, 21 students had a change of visa status across State University of New York campuses, but officials are unable to comment on individual students’ change in status, a SUNY spokeswoman said Friday morning.
"SUNY is monitoring this evolving situation and working with campuses to ensure our students know their rights, are referred to the New York State Office for New Americans for any needed legal support, and understand their options to continue their education," she added.
