1st Baby Of The New Year At Stony Brook University Hospital Is A Boy
Charlie Bruckenthal came into the world at 3:16 a.m., weighing six pounds, four ounces, Stony Brook Medicine officials say.
STONY BROOK, NY — The first baby of 2025 born at Stony Brook University Hospital is a boy, officials said.
Samantha and Matthew Bruckenthal welcomed their son, Charlie, into the world at 3:16 a.m., weighing six pounds, four ounces. Charlie was delivered by Dr. Leah Kaufman, and nurses, Eliza Hammes and Vanessa Boser.
Charlie is the first child for the Bruckenthal's who live in East Northport.

The newborn is the grandson of Patricia Bruckenthal, the Dean of the School of Nursing at Stony Brook University.
Gulbano Khan was born at around 12:15 a.m. at Huntington Hospital, News 12 reported.
