2 Motorcycle Gang Members Arrested on Drug, Weapon Charges: Cops

Police say the two men were arrested after leaving the Hells Angels April Bash on Long Island Saturday night.

CENTEREACH, NY – Two motorcycle gang members were arrested on drug and weapon charges after their vehicle was pulled over by police Saturday night, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, a Sixth Precinct officer pulled over a car driven by 35-year-old Salvatore Manfredonia III on Hawkins Road at Pond Path in Centereach for failing to stop at a stop sign around 8:45 p.m.

Manfredonia, of West Nyack, was found to be in possession of oxycodone, police said. His passenger, 58-year-old John Balogh, had a 9mm handgun in his possession, police said.

Manfredonia, a member of the Satans Soldiers Motorcycle Club, and Balogh, a member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, had just left the Hells Angels April Bash held on Lynbrook Street in Centereach, police said.

Balogh, of the Bronx, is charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of marijuana. Manfredonia is charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
