Crime Report: Assault Reported at Poquott House Party
Suffolk police responded to the following incidents between July 4 and July 10.

• Police responded to a report of an assault at a house party on Walnut Avenue in Poquott on the evening of July 4 in which a male victim reported that someone caused an injury to his hand that required medical attention.
• A 27-year-old man from Bay Shore was arrested July 10 in Stony Brook and charged with two misdemeanors: seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. Police said he was seated in a car at Burger King at 1 p.m. with prescription pills and a hypodermic needle in his possession.
• Suffolk police responded to an incident of criminal mischief on July 10 in which someone scratched the paint of a 2008 Honda CRV that was parked at Yoga for Life in East Setauket at around 1:40 p.m.
