Crime Report: Homeless Man Arrested in Alleged Car Theft
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A homeless man was arrested Jan. 29 in Stony Brook and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Calvin Daniels, 20, allegedly stole a car – a 2006 Mercury – and had a stolen cell phone in his possession when he was arrested.
Jiyoung Yoon, 22, of Stony Brook, was arrested Jan. 27 in Stony Brook and charged with second-degree harassment. She allegedly punched a police officer at around 2 a.m. on the roadway at the corner of Route 347 and Stony Brook Road.
A 16-year-old boy from Setauket was arrested Jan. 29 in Lake Grove and charged with petty larceny. The boy allegedly stole a watch and cologne from Sears at Smith Haven Mall.
