Credit Cards Snatched From LA Fitness Used At Stop & Shop In South Setauket: Police

The credit cards were stolen from three wallets secured inside of gym lockers on Nov. 22, and the men used them later that say, police say.

SOUTH SETAUKET, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a pair of suspects who used credit cards swiped from gym lockers at Stop and Shop in South Setauket in November.

The credit cards were stolen from three wallets secured inside of gym lockers at LA Fitness in Lake Grove on Nov. 22, and the men used them later that day, according to police.

In images taken from security video, the suspects can be seen wearing dark clothing, sneakers, and tan or beige baseball caps.

The amount of money that was charged and a description of the items purchased were not available.

The crime has been classified as grand larceny, a felony, according to a police news release.
