STONY BROOK, NY — A 32-year-old woman originally from Queens was murdered on Saturday by a gunman who entered her Texas home. Amber Tsai is being mourned by family, friends and neighbors after the shooting that killed her and a male friend and injured an elderly woman and several police officers.

According to Haltom City police, on Saturday 28-year-old Edward Freyman ambushed Tsai and Collin Davis, 33, at her home in the suburbs of Dallas, killing both before shooting at responding police officers.

Three of the officers were injured, along with a female neighbor who called 911, according to local news sources. The gunman was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
