  1. An East Setauket woman was charged under Leandra's Law for driving while intoxicated with two teenage girls in the car. She crashed into another vehicle on Town Road. When police arrived, they noticed she was drunk and arrested her. The teens were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. (Three Village Patch)
  2. Game Day is at the Emma Clark Library on Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. Just so you know, the library offers space for groups to enjoy their board games, but participants must bring their favorite game sets. (ECML)
  3. County Executive Steve Bellone is in the last year of his term, and now it's time for candidates running for his seat to raise funds to support campaigns. Suffolk County Democratic Dave Calone expressed gratitude for those who helped him raise a total of $1.7 million in funds for his race as County Executive. Read the whole story here.   • A 28-year-old man was taken to Stony Brook Hospital in serious condition after being hit by two vehicles on Sunday. The incident happened on Middle Country Road. The pedestrian was standing when two cars had a chain reaction crash and struck him. Coram Fire Department was the first responder at the scene. (Port Jefferson Patch)
