- A Suffolk cop brutally attacked during an operation in Medford is expected to survive. The 26-year-old officer was hooked on life support equipment at the Stony Brook Hospital. - George Santo's case resulted in a new bill to help prevent future office-seekers from lying. The bill proposes that candidates present their educational history and background under oath. Punishment would be given to the ones who fabricate information to be elected. (Patch)
