Filomena's Farm To Table Catering and Café Opens In Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, NY — Farm to Table Catering and Café by Filomena has opened in Stony Brook.
The business, located on Nesconset Highway, is a full-service catering company that was founded by head chef, Filomena Lombardi, offers on-and off-site catering. Its café serves a variety of sandwiches and wraps like "The Wild Side" with poached Sockeye Salmon and the "Sea to Table Tuna," as well as daily seasonal soups, and classics like Chicken Waldorf salad and Lentil Salad. There's also quinoa bowls, avocado toast, and a selection of breakfast sandwiches.
The restauant's staffers believe "in the old adage, "You are what you eat," according to its website. "Eating simply and organically is what keeps you healthy and awakens your palate to the true flavors of this earth — truly tasting what God has created," the statement concludes.

Brookhaven Town Councilman Jonathan Kornreich, who attended the grand opening, called it a pleasure to welcome the business to its new location, saying he loves seeing local businesses thrive and encouraged visitors to try the avocado toast.
"The food and service brought by Filomena is like no other, offering a homemade variety of avocado toasts, sandwiches, wraps, salads, cookies and baked goods that provide a healthy alternative for those who are looking for a clean diet," he added.
