1. The first baby born at Stony Brook Hospital in 2023 is a girl! A couple from Nesconset welcomed their daughter at 12:10 a.m. on New Year's Day. Dr. Chris Raju and Nurse Erin Abernathy delivered the baby. (Patch)

3. TBR News Media has nominated Patricia Poggi as 2022 Person of the Year for her incredible charitable work. Poggi created the EJ’s PJs pajama drive twelve years ago.
