The Halal Hut Opens In Stony Brook

The restaurant, which is influenced by multiple cultures, is "an exciting addition to the Three Village food scene," Councilman says.

STONY BROOK, NY — The owners of The Halal Hut recently celebrated the opening of their second location in Brookhaven Town in the hamlet of Stony Brook.

Brookhaven Town Councilman Jonathan Kornreich presented a Town of Brookhaven Certificate of Congratulation to The Halal Hut co-owner Daiyan Chowdhury at a grand opening ceremony on Sept. 2.

The chain, which opened its first location in Centereach, has a menu that includes homemade recipes influenced by multiple cultures and uses only fresh ingredients, officials stated in a news release.

Kornreich called the restaurant "an exciting new addition to the Three Village food scene."

"The food is delicious, and I can report that these guys know how to throw a party," Kornreich stated, adding. "That was one of the best and most delicious ribbon cuttings I’ve been to.”
