Happy Mother’s Day From Caitlin O’Connor

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Caitlin O'Connor's letter to her mom:

To my mother,

Although it hasn’t always been easy, you have taken every bump in stride. You have taught me the true definition of strength and elegance. You have suffered from the worst heartbreaks and have still found reasons to smile.

I will always be grateful for the adventures we’ve shared. The adventures between just the three of us, seven of us, six of us for a short time and, with the addition of a new generation, seven of us, will always be bittersweet, but with the emphasis on sweet.

You are an incredible role model and I am so lucky that I get to share that with my daughter. You practice what you preach and always walk the walk. We love you and are forever appreciative of everything you do for us.
