Hour-By-Hour Long Island Blizzard Forecast

See the latest snow total estimates across the island as a major winter storm starts to impact the region tonight.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Blizzard and winter storm warnings went into effect Friday night with a powerful nor'easter set to bury Long Island in snow.

Snow total estimates have increase slightly with a total of 12-18 inches of snow expected to fall on most of the island. The highest amounts are likely in eastern Suffolk County where up to 2 feet is possible.

All of Suffolk County is under a blizzard warning until 7 p.m. Saturday. Nassau County is under a winter storm warning until the same time. Near-blizzard conditions are still possible in Nassau.
