Letter: Three Village Meals on Wheels Thanks Leo Club

TO THE EDITOR:

The Board of Directors of the Three Village Meals on Wheels, Inc. would like to publicly thank the students in the Leo Club at in Port Jefferson and their advisor for donating “Blizzard Bags” to our clients.  Blizzard bags contain non-perishable food items that our clients can use when we are unable to deliver meals because of snow and ice.

For many years the students have raised monies, purchased the food and packaged the bags for our organization.  Each year our clients have received their blizzard bags in time for the winter weather.

Our organization feels it is important for the students of the Leo Club and their advisor, Mr. Brian Chalmers to receive public recognition for their generous donation and to know how much we appreciate their efforts.
