  1. Long Island Museum in Stony Brook is treating students on winter break with two days of free admission! If you are looking forward to some outings in the community, add up some history exploring the exhibits on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 23-24, from noon to 5 p.m. (LI Museum)
  2. Would you like to see a slide show of students from Three Village Arrowhead Elementary learning about the Phases of the Moon? This extra assignment was particular because Oreo cookies were used to help visualize the sky, moon and these phases! (Three Village CSD)
  3. March is Women's History Month, and the Emma Clark Memorial Library hosts a series of events to celebrate it. Visit here to sign up for these programs that will teach the critical role of history. (Emma Clark Library)
  4. Town officials made a public announcement at the Terryville Fire Department on Wednesday, Feb. 15. U.S. Congressman Nick LaLota shared the numbers of federal funding granted to be invested in road safety in the Town of Brookhaven. Five billion dollars is expected to be invested in the next five years to help reduce road deaths in the county. (TBR News Media)

  • Port Jefferson 2023 WinterTide Concert Series at the Village Center is today at 7 p.m. Singer Safra Levitan takes the stage with sultry vocals and a jazz flavor. A donation of $5 will be appreciated at the door. (Port Jeff Village Center)
