The Hunger Games is still drawing fans to movie theaters near and far. For the nearby ones, at least, here is a list of books from the collection at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library that Hunger Games fans – whether you're a young adult or just a regular adult – will enjoy.

  • Graceling by Kristin Cashore. A young girl struggles with a dangerous skill she was born with – and teams up with another young fighter to rebel against a corrupt king.
  • Matched by Ally Condie. In a society where the government makes all your decisions for you – who you love, where you work, when you die – a young woman begins to question the system.
  • The Maze Runner by James Dashner. Sixteen-year-old Thomas wakes up remembering only his name, and must navigate a maze.
  • Little Brother by Cory Doctorow. A computer hacker sets out to set things right.
  • I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore. A teen from another planet must stay focused as he waits for the powers to develop that will enable him to rejoin the survivors of his planet's destruction.

  • Unwind by Neal Shusterman. Three teens fight for their lives in a futuristic society where teens' organs can be harvested for use by others.
  • The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. The winner of an often-deadly race comes back to defend his title – and comes up against the race's first female competitor.
