CORAM, NY — Detectives are investigating after a father was stabbed in front of a home in Coram on New Year's night, Suffolk police said. The father, who is from Coram, and his son were involved in a fight in front of the Doreceter Drive home, and he was stabbed by another person, at around 5 p.m., according to the police. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, police said. Further details were not available. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives with the 6th Squad in Selden at 631-854-8652.
