Million Dollar Gift Made to The Stony Brook School
Mark Hollis and family give back to his alma mater.

A $1 million gift from an Old Field family paved the way for The Stony Brook School to break ground on a new student center and dining hall, according to a report published Thursday in The Village Times Herald.
Mark Hollis, a 1967 graduate of the school, and wife Maureen have donated $1 million to help fund the Kanas Commons, named for its principle benefactors, the Kanas family, who donated the initial $3 million for the project.
The school expects to break ground on its 19,400 square-foot-building later this spring.
