Old Fields Owner To Open New Restaurant In Former Pentimento Spot

The space in Stony Brook Village will become the newest eatery from the owner of Old Fields and Old Fields Barbecue, with a "new concept."

STONY BROOK, NY—The former Pentimento restaurant space in Stony Brook Village won't be vacant much longer, the shopping center owners said. A new restaurant from David Tunney, who ownsOld Fields in Port Jefferson and Old Fields Barbecue in Huntington, will have a "new concept," according to TBR News Media.

Pentimento closed in September 2021 after operating for years at 93 Main St.

The details of the new restaurant haven't yet been released, beyond a statement from Tunney saying “This will be a new concept, different cuisine and a whole new look.”

The new eatery is expected to open by the spring, TBR News Media reported.

Tunney was also a founding partner of Besito in Roslyn and Huntington. He grew up in the Three Village area.
