1. A new project is on the horizon for reconstructing 347. The multimillion-dollar plan would add an overpass at the Nicolls Road intersection in Stony Brook. Residents interviewed by Newsday said the area is congested twice a day by students and staff of Stony Brook University, Smith Haven Mall and shoppers. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
2. Emma Clark Memorial Library is hosting a Teen Winter Reading Program. Kiddos who register today will get tickets for the Rinx Ice Skating in Hauppauge and Port Jefferson, a special prize and can attend a winter reading wrap-up party!
