Police Investigating Hit-And-Run In Stony Brook

A 21-year-old student was struck on Nicolls Road on March 13, Suffolk police say.

STONY BROOK, NY — A 21-year-old Stony Brook University student was struck by a hit-and-run driver on March 13, Suffolk police said.

The student was struck crossing Nicholls Road from the hospital's side to the campus' side at around 8 p.m., according to police.

She was knocked to the ground and was treated at the hospital, police said.

Officers from the Crime Section of the 6th Precinct in Selden are investigating, a police spokeswoman said.

Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip to 1-800-220-TIPS, a confidential police hotline.
