Police: Walmart Customer Punched Another at Checkout Line

A dispute between two customers at Walmart in East Setauket resulted in one punching the other on Nov. 13, according to a police report.

A police spokesman said the victim asked a male customer if he was in line at a checkout counter. That customer then pushed and punched the victim.

According to the report, no one was sent to the hospital and the victim did not press charges. The incident was reported as second-degree harassment. It is unclear whether any store employees or security were involved in controlling the dispute.
