At Le Petit Salon de Musique on March 19, at 2:00 p.m SILENCED a concert of vocal music featuring soprano Rachel Schutz and pianist Andrea Christie and presenting works by Morfydd Owen, Grace Williams, Margaret Bonds, Thomas Osborne and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Rachel Schutz’s performances have been praised around the world, most recently by Jeffrey Williams in the New York Concert Reviews, “...her stage manner is expressive…her virtuosity is indisputable and made quite an impression on this listener.”(Jeffrey Williams, New York Concert Reviews). Michael Lally described Schutz performance as one of the best he had ever seen (Lally’s Alley) and reviewers in The Boston Globe delighted with Schutz’s “witty characterizations, vivacious spirit and giddily delicious coloratura”(Boston Globe).
Canadian pianist Andrea Christie, a returning favorite of Le Petit Salon audiences, is a versatile performing artist with a flair for late-romantic works and a passion for contemporary music. An award winning performer, she is also an educator and advocate for contemporary music.
