School District Operating as Usual Following Shooting

Following a fatal shooting Tuesday night, Suffolk police have assured Three Village school officials that it's safe to hold classes and conduct business as usual.

The school district released a statement Wednesday morning that said: "We have been assured by Suffolk County Police that this matter has no connection to our district, there is no cause for concern for our district, and that we should be operating as normal."

The shooting took place at approximately 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on Upper Sheep Pasture Road at an address that's approximately one mile from Minnesauke Elementary School.
