  1. One of Stony Brook's own softball alumna has been invited to Canada's National Team Selection Camp. Dawn Bodrug has a record of 19-7 with a 2.00 ERA in 29 games (25 starts) this past season for the Seawolves. She is one of 32 athletes that will attend the camp. (Stony Brook Athletics)
  2. The 27th Annual Stony Brook Film Festival (SBFF) has announced its long-awaited lineup. The festival will be held at the Staller Center for the Arts this year, from July 21-30. The festival will feature 38 films from over 28 countries. See the list with more information here. (LongIsland.com)
  3. This year, a record number of Stony Brook University students were selected for a prestigious Fulbright scholarship. Fourteen SBU students were chosen for the international exchange program and will be traveling across the world acting as teaching assistants. (Stony Brook News)

  • The Stony Brook Soccer Club mourns the passing of one of its former and much-loved soccer coaches Sean Layden. He was with the team for nearly 10 years and not only bought a great passion for the game but also a kind, caring, and fun nature that made so many of the children in the community fall in love with the sport.
