Suffolk Exec Candidates To Speak On Environment At 1st Forum In Stony Brook
Democrat Dave Calone and Republican Ed Romaine will weigh in on the issue at the county level, "and beyond," environmental group says.

STONY BROOK, NY — The New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund will host a forum at Stony Brook’s University's Sidney Gelber Auditorium with Suffolk County executive candidates Dave Calone and Ed Romaine on Monday, according to a news release.
At the forum, Calone, a Democrat, and Romaine, a Republican, will discuss their stances on environmental issues in the county "and beyond," the news release stated.
Calone, of Setauket, is a former federal prosecutor and businessman, who previously served as the chair of the county's planning commission.

Romaine, of Center Moriches, has previously served as Suffolk County Clerk and legislator. He is the current Town Of Brookhaven supervisor.
The forum's moderator will be announced.

The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m.
Each year, the fund works with local partners to host nonpartisan candidate forums, allowing voters to hear directly from candidates about their positions on environmental issues.
The auditorium is located at 100 Nicolls Road in Stony Brook.
