Three New Retail Stores Open

Three new stores have opened their doors, filling empty retail spaces in Lake Grove and Stony Brook.

Sur la Table, which sells high-end kitchen items and offers cooking classes, opened June 8 in Smith Haven Mall's Lifestyle Village, which is also home to upscale retailers such as White House Black Market and Loft.

Office supply store Staples opened June 9 in in Stony Brook. Its Lake Grove store in the DSW shopping center remains open.

And arts and crafts store Michaels opened at 9 a.m. Friday in , after closing its doors at its Lake Grove location on Thursday at 6 p.m. Employees at the store said they spent three weeks prepping the store for customers.
