1. Hooray to the Long Island Cranx Foundation for completing its "Epic Rides For A Cause" which raised $22,000 in funds to help the Stony Brook Children's Hospital. The group biked to the hospital on July 27 to deliver the check. (Stony Brook News)
2. Culper Spy Day is happening in September! The Three Village Historical Society organizes the event and features our local history in a series of interactive activities. Save the date for Saturday, Sept. 10. Visit here for details. (Three Village Historical Society)
3. Three Village Farmer’s Market is set for Friday, Aug. 5. at 3 p.m. Vegetables, baked goods, vendors, kids' activities, and more will be offered to whoever shows up! Don't forget to say hello to the family of starlings living in the chimney! (Google Events)
4. Nonprofit Long Island Cares released a statement showing that food insecurity is higher than last year. According to the food bank records, the number of visitors looking for food between January and June is 43 percent, higher than the previous year. (Patch)
