- Registration is now open for those who want to attend the Meet the Candidates event hosted by the Three Village Chamber of Commerce in October. The night will be hosted at the Holiday Inn Express in Stony Brook. The candidates who will run for the election in November will be present at the event. (Three Village CofC)
- The Jazz Loft will offer Living Museum Tours on Saturday, Sept. 10. from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are now available for those who love the jams and want to participate in the interactive outing going through rhythm history and more! (Jazz Loft)
- Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson is launching a new free training program for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs). After completing the course and the New York State exam, an entry-level job is guaranteed in the hospital. The action was taken due to the staff shortage in the hospital. (TBR News Media)
- Nearby News: A Melville family is searching for their Rottweiler that went missing under its dog sitter's care. The dog has been missing for ten days. The Bolling family was on vacation in Atlanta when they received the call about the sad news. (Long Island News 12)
