- Stony Brook Graduate Alyssa O'Hara, had a wonderful surprise while receiving her diploma last Friday. Her air force soldier husband was there waiting for her with flowers and a huge proud smile. He is stationed in Alaska and worked very hard for the last two months to able to attend the event in person. (WABC-TV)
- The cast of Cabaret Theatre's is having a good time in rehearsals to perform the classic "Rapunzel". The TYA is preparing a surprise "twist' in the story of the little girl with gold hair.
So, if you're curious about the fun "new version" of the classic, Rapunzel will open on Saturday, Jan. 8 and runs through Feb. 5. (Broadway World) - Nassau Police is asking for help to find Maureen Wolf, age 68, who was reported missing on Friday. Maureen was last seen leaving her home in Farmingdale. She suffers from a cognitive disorder and is in need of medication, police said. If you have any information of her whereabouts contact police. (Daily Voice)
- Island Harvest is asking for different donations this year. The organization is well know in doing a good job helping families in need to have food on their table. This season, Island Harvest will also give Christmas presents so, toys, clothes and other necessities will be greatly appreciated. (News 12 New Jersey)
- With the spread of Omicron, hospitals all over the country are being challenge to support patients as on Dec. 16, about 79 percent of inpatient beds were occupied according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. (Three Village Patch)
